The Space Beneath My Skin Is Closed to My Reason Today (2016) was developed in consultation with artist Yeo Chee Kiong, and took place from within Chee Kiong's major exhibition A Beauty Center, at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore. A live audience were present in the gallery where the performance was screened, and followed the script to participate in the broadcast. The broadcast was simultaneously publicly live streamed on YouTube. The performance garment was designed and made by Lesley Hepburn.

The spoken word performance was delivered as a live internet broadcast between Scotland and Singapore, and wove a sliding narrative of Vogue magazine sidebars, the depths of self knowledge, and the ways we wear clothes.
YEO CHEE KIONG lives and works in Singapore. He is an award-winning sculptor known for his thought provoking and unique works that often present playful and unexpected juxtapositions. He is concerned with questions of perception, the poetics, and the materiality of the art object.
